In his 28 years as a coach and executive leader on the college and professional levels, Erik Rashad has had extraordinary success and immediate impacts in both venues.
Erik has earned a well-respected reputation, nationally and abroad, as a stern recruiter, coach, and mentor who has orchestrated successful collegiate pathways of over 21 student-athletes who have advanced to earned professional basketball careers.

As an amateur player hailing from Florida roots (Kathleen High School and Bartow Sr. High), Erik attended Nebraska Western Jr. College and led them to 2 consecutive JUCO Championship appearances and national rankings. He then transitioned to Jackson State University (MS) and later to Guilford College (NC). As a professional player, Erik earned a unique opportunity to play for the legendary and world-renowned Harlem Magicians aka Globetrotters, which enabled him to travel globally. Additionally, he played in FIBA-certified leagues such as Mexico, Denmark, Portugal, and Morocco.
Erik’s impeccable character as a consonant professional speaks volumes to his vast knowledge and experience gained while serving as a coach, educator, administrator, lawyer, mediator, and community advocate. All, of which, make Erik one of the most diversely skilled professionals within the US sports industry today.
